Governance
Stability Through Structure. Conspicuously absent from many group practices is a well designed and articulated partnership agreement, including provisions for governance among the stakeholder practices. Such omissions can make for unwieldy operations, slow decision-making and costly disputes among practices.
MPSG understands that a proper agreement among partners should act as the source document outlining the responsibilities and rights of each practice. It should specify such things as decision-making processes; management control; conflict resolution; provider and owner compensation; provider buy in, buy out and exit options; and vendor relationships.
Rather than using templates and pre-fabricated documents, the agreements we facilitate have the distinct quality of being customized to the specific needs of the group at hand.
By clarifying and articulating the essential elements of provider working relationships, MPSG outlines the critical structure by which the practices of the group abide, leaving nothing to chance or individual preference.
The result is effective relationships forged among the partners, founded on common goals, shared philosophy, inclusive governance, and sound decision-making. The practice of each individual physician will then be aligned with the group as a whole.
